The new tax bill contains an opportunity zones provision which allows companies and corporations to defer capital gains to an opportunity fund. These funds will be allocated to low-income tracks. Special guest MPP Lorena Roque who concentrates on economic and energy policy joins to unpack the provision. co-Host Erik LaDue moderates joined by co-Hosts Katherine Lundie and Gabe Moss. Together, the team speculates what implications the policy could have for economic and regional inequality based on how it is implemented.
