GW WonkCast S3E6-2: Opportunity Zones for Investment

The new tax bill contains an opportunity zones provision which allows companies and corporations to defer capital gains to an opportunity fund. These funds will be allocated to low-income tracks. Special guest MPP Lorena Roque who concentrates on economic and energy policy joins to unpack the provision. co-Host Erik LaDue moderates joined by co-Hosts Katherine Lundie and Gabe Moss. Together, the team speculates what implications the policy could have for economic and regional inequality based on how it is implemented.
